In late May 2026, Pskov hosted the All-Russian Forum Zdravnitsa 2026 - one of the key professional events for Russia’s sanatorium and resort sector. The forum brought together more than 2,000 participants from 60 Russian regions, as well as representatives of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and China, becoming a major platform for professional dialogue on the future of balneology, rehabilitation medicine, and health tourism.
The business program was broad and multi-layered. According to open sources, more than 200 reports and presentations were scheduled across 12 venues, while about 130-300 experts took part in the sectoral discussions. The agenda focused on health preservation, rehabilitation, new management models, investment, and the development of sanatorium and resort infrastructure.
As part of the forum, an expert session titled “The Sanatorium and Resort Sector as the Core of Health Tourism: New Business Models in Healthcare or the Hospitality Industry?” was held. The official program listed Sofia L. Mozokina, President of the Association of Participants in Medical and Health Tourism, among the participants. The discussion highlighted that the modern sanatorium and resort sector is increasingly viewed not only as part of the healthcare system, but also as an important element of the hospitality industry and the wider tourism product.
For AMILOT, participation in this session was especially significant, as the development of medical and health tourism is directly linked to new models of cooperation between healthcare, tourism, service industries, and regional infrastructure. The participation of the Association’s President in this professional discussion confirmed the relevance of this agenda at the federal level.
The exhibition program also attracted strong interest from participants and visitors. In Pskov, the exhibition featured 83 stands representing 176 companies, while regional media specifically noted the large-scale display of modern equipment covering about 3,000 square meters. The exhibition showcased innovative medical technologies, rehabilitation solutions, equipment for health resorts, and modern approaches to the development of the sanatorium and resort product.
The Zdravnitsa Forum has been held annually since 2001 and is regarded as the main professional event of Russia’s sanatorium and resort industry. For this reason, AMILOT’s participation in its business program became an important part of the Association’s ongoing work to promote medical and health tourism, strengthen professional dialogue, and expand cross-sector cooperation.
